Our History with Horses

Great Grandpa Wilson

We've had horses and cattle running through our genes for many generations. It has been a common thread through out both sides of our family. Great Grandpa Kelleher, with his brother, invested in the first polled Hereford bull brought to the United States and spent many years traveling form Iowa to Denver competing in the Denver Stock Show with their prize winning Herefords.

Great Grandpa Ryan had a passion for being a top notch cowboy and riding a good horse when he was doing it. He passed this along to my Uncle Bill who, along with a few others, instilled this same passion in me.

Along the way, I found the development of a team roping horse which will correctly use himself in the roping pen and on the ranch to be an exciting challenge. When we struggled to find the horses with the structure and heart we find desirable for this work, we began our journey in breeding the type of horses we believe will fit this bill. We began by focusing on Blue Valentine, as well as other Hancock lines, and Driftwood influences as a foundation for our horses. In the process we have come to appreciate Two ID Bartender's influence on our horses size and athletic ability.
